Family Tours
KR Travel has years of experience organizing family tours. South Korea is a safe travel destination for families with young children. The crime rate is low, food and water are safe for consumption and there are excellent medical facilities within a close proximity to our destinations. As an extra precautionary measure, we make sure that our child travelers carry with them the phone number of the tour guide, the address of the hotel and the contact information of the main office in Seoul. For young children, the distinct Korean food may cause problems, but in the larger cities and popular tourist areas there is an abundant choice of western food, catering to the tastes of the young children. The numerous shops and supermarkets, most of them open 24 hours per day, sell high quality children’s items such as diapers, milk and baby food. Koreans in general are extremely friendly towards children, as they prize them as the future.
Roots Tours
Since the end of the Korean War, more than 100,000 Korean children have been adopted to the United States and over 60,000 to Europe. Now that they have grown up, they return to their motherland, often accompanied by their families. The founders of KR Travel, Don Roelofs and Kim Verhaaf, were both adopted at a young age from Korea to the Netherlands. KR Travel maintains strong relationships with the adoption agencies and the organization of Roots Tours is extremely flexible to accommodate visiting adoption agencies, meeting biological families and arranging translators and volunteers.
Student Groups
The economic miracle in South Korea was only possible with an extremely determined population and a strong desire to grow, improve and develop. Korea has become an attractive destination for those who study on the field of ICT, infrastructure, logistics and architecture. Over the years, KR Travel has provided all necessary support for student groups, including accommodations, transportation and logistics in Korea.
